Light filtering and blackout describe how a fabric manages light. They are options within zebra and roller shade collections, subject to the fabrics available for the selected product.

Light filtering

Choose light-filtering fabric when you want to soften daylight while keeping the room brighter. The right choice depends on the privacy you need, the direction of the windows, and how the room is used.

Blackout

Consider a blackout fabric when reducing incoming light is a priority, such as in a bedroom or media space. Fabric choice, mounting, and normal edge gaps all affect the result, so we review the complete window rather than relying on the fabric label alone.

Yes. We do not sell ready-made window coverings. Each project begins with an in-home consultation and measurements for the specific windows in your home.

Is blackout a separate type of shade?

No. Zebra and roller shades are the two product categories we currently offer. Light-filtering and blackout describe fabric and light-control choices that may be available within those categories.
